Thus we had the crossroads. Instead of follow the world and go through with a divorce, we decided to fight for the marriage and re-train ourselves how to do what we should have been doing in the first place. Don't misunderstand, I am not saying that those divorced are terrible people, but coming from divorced parents (whom I love dearly) I know first hand what comes of it. As many do. We went to a counselor who took our issues one by one and told us exactly how we should have handled them according to God's word. This was a BIG DEAL!
I had taken him to the doctor with concerns a few times before, but this time it was for unintelligible speech and things that generally weren't issues unless hearing was a problem. His primary care physician (whom we love and trust) sent us to the health department for some hearing tests and we discovered he had 70% hearing loss in the left ear and 90% in the right! Boy were we surprised!
