1. This is my first finished shirt pattern.

Needless to say I am very pleased with my work. It was supposed to have another round of elastic beneath the bust but I decided it looked better without one because it was meant to be worn in layers. I will be pairing this with a jean skirt, white tank, and possibly my jean jacket depending on the weather. I love new clothes!
After a steady stream of sewing projects I believe I will work on finishing some crochet and knitting projects for a time, until it is time to make my Fourth of July outfit. My next craft is finishing up a simple crocheted market bag! Have I mentioned how much I love to shop?
So onto the next installment of how to go about updating your family room (or whichever room you chose). In the last post (found here) we discussed the color scheme and theme of the room you're working on. I cannot stress how important it is to figure out the theme before moving on! It's the same reason why you go to the grocery store with a list (because we will buy everything in sight!). Personally, I am in love with the color coral. If I had my way, nearly every room in my house would incorporate that color! Luckily I love my Man too much to do that to him. So I took the colors I had: navy, and tan, and combined them with the colors I wanted: coral and mint. What I am about to tell you next is the big secret. Are you ready?
I went pin crazy on Pinterest.

Now if I'm not mistaken, I promised to talk about my adorable pillows. Do you remember what they looked like?
For me, the name of the game is saving money while not compromising taste.
