Do you recall the original goal picture?
You may or may not have noticed that crocheting is quite the fad lately. It is very easy to find crocheted and knitted clothes in popular stores, and very easy to find blankets too! Making one of your own isn't nearly as challenging as you may be thinking. In this particular pattern, you use only 1 stitch in repetition until you reach the desired size. Look over the basic granny throw pattern here!
For our purposes you need to find yarn in the colors that coordinate with your room. For me that was navy, mint, two pinks, and cream. Naturally I adjusted the pattern to suit my needs. I enjoy stripes and repeating patterns so after a 5 row square of navy I alternated 2 rows of cream between one row of each color except the two pinks. I only change yarn colors in one place along each row so I will only have one line of ends to weave going up the length of the blanket.
If you have any more questions or comments about this particular project just ask! If you are interested, I will gladly share more on my crocheted creations.
